FREE FREE IN GAMBIA
EMPOWERING THROUGH EDUCATION
Our work in Gambia Represents a powerful example of how local partnerships and innovative solutions can transform entire communities. Through strategic collaboration with Harvard University’s Center for African Studies and local organizations, we’re addressing critical challenges facing women and girls, creating sustainable change that ripples through generations.
FREE MY PERIOD
A MOVEMENT FOR CHANGE
Our flagship initiative in Gambia tackles period poverty while simultaneously creating economic opportunities for local women. The Free My Period project began as an idea from Harvard students and has evolved into a comprehensive program that’s transforming lives. Local women are trained to produce sustainable period underwear, becoming entrepreneurs who distribute these essential products throughout their communities. This approach not only keeps girls in school but creates sustainable income streams for women entrepreneurs.
The impact extends far beyond immediate practical benefits. As girls stay in school longer and women gain financial independence, we’re seeing a reduction in community stigma around menstruation and a growth in local economic stability. This project exemplifies how the Free Free methodology can be adapted to create practical, sustainable solutions that address multiple challenges simultaneously.
PARTNERSHIPS
AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Our success in Gambia stems from deep collaboration with community leaders, educational institutions, and healthcare providers. We work closely with local women’s groups and entrepreneurs to ensure our initiatives reflect community needs and cultural understanding. This partnership approach ensures sustainable, long-term impact while building local capacity.
LOOKING FORWARD
As we continue to grow our presence in Gambia, we’re developing additional production centers and expanding our entrepreneurship training programs. Our leadership development initiatives are creating a new generation of changemakers who understand both local needs and global possibilities. Through community education programs and new partnership opportunities, we’re scaling our impact while maintaining the quality and integrity of our approach.
SUCCESS STORIES

The transformation we’re seeing in Gambia demonstrates how the Free Free methodology can be adapted to create meaningful, sustainable change in diverse contexts. By combining educational support with economic opportunity, we’re helping women and girls write new stories for themselves and their communities.

TRANSFORMING BRITAIN'S APPROACH TO the Feminine and Impact
A New Vision for British Women
Free Free’s expansion into the United Kingdom represents more than just organisational growth – it marks the beginning of a transformative movement in how Britain approaches the feminine. Through our landmark launch event at London’s Ladbroke Hall in November 2024, we’ve established a foundation for meaningful change that combines corporate innovation, creative expression, and grassroots action.
WHO YOU ARE
LAUNCHING WITH PURPOSE
Our UK launch took shape through the “Who You Are” Gala, an immersive experience that redefined traditional fundraising. Rather than hosting a conventional charity dinner, we created a multisensory journey through art installations, including works by Tracey Emin, and powerful personal testimonials from leaders across business and academia. The event raised $250,000 toward our £1million fundraising goal, demonstrating the power of combining creativity with purpose.
CREATING
TRANSFORMATIONAL SPACES
The funds raised are enabling us to establish transformational hubs across the UK, bringing our proven methodology to British people through various touchpoints. We’re implementing successful programmess from Brazil while developing initiatives specific to the UK context, ensuring our approach resonates with local needs and opportunities.
PARTNERSHIPS
FOR CHANGE
Our UK presence is strengthened by partnerships with influential leaders who share our vision. From Unilever’s Global VP Tati Lindenberg to academic pioneers and creative innovators, we’re building a network of changemakers committed to advancing the feminine. These relationships enable us to create systemic change while maintaining grassroots connections.
THE DIGITAL REVOLUTION
Through our newly launched Free Free World Club app, we’re connecting British people with access to our global community. This platform offers more than just networking – it provides access to professional development, mentorship, and collaborative opportunities that transcend traditional boundaries. Members can engage with expert-led sessions, participate in local events, and contribute to international projects.
LOOKING FORWARD
As we deepen our presence in the UK, we’re focused on creating measurable, sustainable impact. Our approach combines the best of our global experience with local insights, ensuring our programs resonate with British women while maintaining international connections. Through careful measurement and ongoing adaptation, we’re building a model that can scale effectively across the country.
Join us in transforming how Britain approaches women’s empowerment. Whether through corporate partnership, community involvement, or individual engagement, there are countless ways to contribute to this growing movement for change.
