FREE FREE HARVARD CLUB

FREE FREE HARVARD CLUB reunites Harvard’s students to confront and conquer fears and societal constraints that hinder women and girls from living and feeling free.

FREE FREE HARVARD CLUB is held within the Harvard Center for African Studies and benefits from an active collaboration with the Harvard Innovation Center.

Within a year from the F.F. Methodology® course, the students have already seen two impact projects come to life thanks to the support of FREE FREE Foundation and our network of institutions and strategic partnerships.

FREE FREE FASHION LIBRARY

FREE FREE Fashion Library was created with the aim to help women who have experienced trauma to regain their self-worth and reshape their identities.

The inaugural library became a partnership with the Italian luxury brand La Double J and is located in the Cambridge Women’s Center.

FREE MY PERIOD

“Free My Period” is a project develop over 2023 and launched in January 2024 in Gambia thanks to the support of FREE FREE Foundation.

This innovative community solution focuses on addressing the issue of period poverty in Gambia. By creating a local facility for the production of menstrual underwear thanks to the support of Pantys® textile technology, this project seeks to serve 4,000 teenage girls in Gambia, providing financial freedom and employment for the women manufacturing the products and, most importantly, ensuring that girls do not suffer due to the lack of access to menstrual supplies.

Such hardships can lead to abuse, missed school, sexual trauma and profound emotional distress. We are immensely proud that this project has been developed through the support of the Harvard Innovation Lab.

This project has been selected as a finalist for the Harvard Innovation Lab Award and identified as a possible pilot for a venture capitalist innovation.
